Stefano is the President and principal policy analyst at I-Com (Institute for Competitiveness), a leading Italian think tank on digital, energy and healthcare issues, which he co-founded in 2005, based in Rome and Brussels. He also teaches Economics at Roma Tre University and is the Vice President of the Health City Institute. He has been a member of the Italian Government High-level Expert Group on artificial intelligence.
He published many essays and articles on digital, energy and healthcare issues. His latest book is “Artificial intelligence: last call”, published in Italian for Bocconi University Press in October 2019.
His opinions and analyses have been featured in major Italian newspapers, including Milano Finanza, il Sole24 Ore, Il Foglio. Stefano has also undertaken study and consultancy assignments for Italian and international public institutions, including the Senate of the Republic, the Department for EU affairs, the Ministry for Culture, the OECD, leading companies and non-profit organizations.
